If any virus caused problem the user will not bother you.   You have got a lot of bad HDD but computers for these HDD check take up a lot of room.   Your company is occupied in UPGRADE and «second hand» computer parts. You need test them not only fast but also high-quality.   The employee occupied in defective products reception has got a little experience. It isn’t necessary to have much experience in order to use this device.   Your company is occupied in repair and you must test a recovered HDD. For that you need to occupy expensive computers for a long time.   All diagnostics can be done in the presence of the client.

By means of IDT-100 you can test HDD faster and better than in case of computer using. With the help of this device you can also erase information (if there are unrecoverable virus programs or results of their activity), execute program repair of HDD (hiding small number of defects (from 100 up to 1500 depending on HDD type).   The device is recommended to use in service departments of computer companies and also departments of computers setting-up.

IDT-100 is designed for autonomous (without computer using) diagnostics and program repair of HDD with IDE interface, capacity up to 128 Gb and supporting LBA mode.
 
The device supports all of existing HDD with IDE interface (supporting LBA mode).

Device working is based on the principle of sequential tests execution which are embedded in the device, defined by the user and saved in the script-file. When switching on the device starts execute the test sequence which was used last time.

The device doesn't require connecting to any computer. Standard for IBM PC power + 5V and +12V with connector which 3.5 HDD have got is necessary only.

• ERASE HDD
  The test executes HDD start tracks erasing (including Boot sectors and FAT Tables).
  It is used for user’s information erasing and erasing of viruses and results of their activity.

• VERIFY
  The test checks HDD surface quality (if any defects are found the information about number of defects will be displayed). This test doesn’t erase information.

• WRITE
  The test executes writing of full work area of HDD.
  This test erases all information on the disk fully.

• DEFECT FREE
  The test executes defects finding/hiding.
  Maximal number of defects which will be hidden depends on HDD type.

• BUTTERFLY
  The test finds HDD heads positioning errors.

• TERMO TEST
  The test executes quick HDD warming-up to work temperature and is designed for HDD which have got problems in some time after switching on (warming-up).
  During test executing HDD current temperature in C is displayed (only for HDD supporting temperature measuring).

• HEAD TEST
  The test is designed for HDD read/write channel testing.
  Usually this test is necessary if you use HDD with MR-head.

• HPA  (Host Protected Area Function)
  Most of modern HDD allow users to decrease logical capacity.
  This test restore original logical capacity if before it was changed by user.

• RESET
  The option is used for jump to the beginning of executable tests (tests set cycling).

• SOUND
  The option switches off wave sound of tests finishing.
